City Views is a respectful, intergenerational space to preserve White Plains memories. By participating, you agree to the following:
Community Agreements
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate, or targeted abuse.
- Protect privacy. Get consent for images and stories; blur or omit sensitive info.
- Be truthful. Clearly mark uncertain dates/locations; avoid misleading claims.
- Keep it safe. No explicit or violent content; no illegal activity.
- Local relevance. Content should relate to White Plains or its people.
Enforcement Tiers
Minor issues; content stays. Private reminder and resource links.
Remove or edit violating content; log a strike.
Comment/post cooldowns, feature limits; strikes decay after time.
If flagged for high-risk behavior or location claims, user must submit resident proof to regain features.
For repeated or severe violations, including threats, doxxing, or hate. Appeal process available.
Resident Verification (when needed)
We generally welcome everyone. Verification is only required if: (a) a user enters Tier 3 due to repeated flags; (b) access to special resident-only features; or (c) participation in select civic programs.
Acceptable proofs: utility bill, school ID, lease, official mail, or a letter from a recognized community organization. Redact sensitive info before upload. Admins only view documents; approved status can expire after 12 months.
